Make down votes equivalent to up votes declined

An up vote earns +10 reputation but a down vote is penalised only by -2. This discrepancy rewards incorrect answers.

If I post a wrong (but feasible) answer and somebody ignorantly votes it up, it will take 5 other people down-voting to cancel out my undeserved reputation boost.

Agree. Voter 1: "This answer is incorrect, vote down to -1". Voter 2: "Mmm, it may be incorrect but it's not completely worthless, lets just vote it up to zero". Repeat ad infinitum, adding +8 to posters rep each iteration.

I agree -- this could make sense in a lot of scenarios.
